The darker roast has a really satisfying heaviness, and that cocoa note lingers nicely after each sip. The toffee undertones come through just enough to balance the plum, making it a smooth, comforting cup.

The plum note really comes through once this cools a bit, and the toffee sweetness keeps it from tasting bitter. Been brewing it in a French press all week and the heavier body holds up nicely with a splash of milk.

I was worried a darker roast would taste burnt, but this is smooth and the plum note actually comes through. It's a heavier cup without being bitter, and the cocoa smell when I open the bag is worth it alone.
